Our pastor, Fr. Stephen Hrycyniak, is available to meet with parishioners and interested individuals from the local community who would like to more seriously explore their spiritual lives and understand and appreciate the movements of Divine Grace within them through the process of spiritual companioning. If interested or should you desire to learn more about the benefits of spiritual direction, feel free to contact Father at the Spiritual Life Center at 262-657-3415 or email shrycyniak@wi.rr.com.
If you are undergoing a difficult time and experiencing significant stress in any area of your life--spiritual, mental, emotional, physical, or financial--you are encouraged to talk to your pastor about the situation. If the problem is beyond the scope of his expertise to be genuinely helpful, he may suggest a referral to a pastoral counselor or another helping professional in the community.
All Orthodox Christians, especially those receiving Holy Communion regularly, should come for Holy Confession minimally at least once during each of the fast seasons (Great Lent, Fast of Saints Peter and Paul, the Dormition Fast, and the Pre-Nativity/St. Philip's Fast) throughout the year. Should you need help learning how to properly gain the maximum spiritual benefit from this soul-cleansing Sacrament, Fr. Stephen can suggest printed resources to help you in examining your conscience in preparation for Confession or would be happy to discuss the matter with you in person.
Also, if you are suddenly hospitalized or homebound and desire a pastoral visit, please do not hesitate to contact your pastor. He really dislikes being the last one to find out you've been ill and sincerely desires to be a spiritual resource for you. In an emergency, you may also reach him at home at 262-654-4605 or via cellphone at 414-899-3729.
