The Spiritual Life Center is a house of prayer, hospitality and inner-healing in the heart of Kenosha where one can get away for an hour or two for personal prayer, Orthodox liturgical worship, spiritual direction, pastoral counseling, or a private directed retreat. It is also an adult learning and formation center where people can come to explore their deepest spiritual questions and hungers in a safe and supportive environment through lectures, classes, contemplative prayer groups, afternoons of reflection, and plain old cordial conversation. The homey setting of the Center has private spiritual direction and counseling rooms, a well-appointed book and icon shop, a comprehensive lending library of spiritual resources, a nursing office, and an inviting space to come and share a free cup of tea or coffee. The space will also be used for family movie and game nights, as well as a venue for showcasing musical talent in a coffee house environment. Joyce, Ivan, and Sara, our parish nurses, are available for consultation and home-visitation of the elderly and infirm in our faith community, and provide health education and wellness events for the benefit of the community at-large.
